Call for grants for the consolidation and sustainable growth of self-employment in the Balearic Islands for the years 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027
Call aimed at providing financial support to self-employed individuals residing in municipalities of the Balearic Islands, with the main objective of helping to maintain the continuity of their businesses.
The call for grants for the consolidation and sustainable growth of self-employment in the Balearic Islands is designed to offer significant support to self-employed individuals residing in the municipalities of the Balearic Islands. This aid aligns with the principles of promoting the free market and fostering business competitiveness, recognizing that self-employed individuals are fundamental to the diversification and strengthening of the local economy.
The consolidation grants will be disbursed through four calls for subsidies of one million euros each, with a maximum amount of 3,000 euros per beneficiary.
The call is structured into four fundamental programs:
- Innovation and digitalization: aims to promote the adoption of new technologies and the digitalization of business processes, thereby improving the competitiveness of self-employed businesses through the implementation of advanced technological solutions.
- Strategic and financial management: aimed at improving the management and financial planning capabilities of self-employed individuals, offering resources and training to optimize business administration and ensure long-term viability.
- Sustainability and social responsibility: promotes sustainable and responsible business practices, encouraging the adoption of measures that reduce environmental impact and contribute positively to the community.
- Investments for improving competitiveness: focused on financing investments that improve infrastructure, equipment, and other key aspects of businesses, with the goal of increasing efficiency and productive capacity.
Requirements
- Individuals, registered and residing in one of the municipalities of the Balearic Islands.
- Be registered in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers of Social Security and in the corresponding headings of the Economic Activities Tax with a minimum uninterrupted seniority of 36 months at the date of submission of the application.
- Those self-employed individuals who prove that their activity is carried out on a seasonal basis must be registered in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers of Social Security and in the corresponding headings of the Economic Activities Tax with the seniority mentioned in the previous point and for minimum periods of 4 months within the calendar year.
- In the case of self-employed women, periods of temporary cessation of activity due to maternity-related reasons will not be taken into account when verifying compliance with the uninterrupted seniority requirement, with the aim of providing support during this vital period and ensuring that it does not pose an obstacle to the continuity of their businesses.
- Be up to date with payment obligations to the State Tax Administration Agency, the Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands, and Social Security.
- Comply with the requirements to obtain the status of beneficiary of the subsidy established in Article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies.
- Not incur any of the prohibitions to be a beneficiary established in Article 10 of Legislative Decree 2/2005, of December 28, which approves the revised text of the Subsidies Law.
