Call for the Spain Pavilion at Bits & Pretzels 2026

Take part in the Spain Pavilion at Bits & Pretzels 2026, one of Europe’s leading tech entrepreneurship events, and access Germany’s ecosystem of startups, scaleups, investors, and major corporates in Munich.

ICEX Spain Trade and Investment (ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, E.P.E.), together with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Berlin, is organizing the Spain Pavilion at Bits & Pretzels at Munich’s International Congress Center Messe (ICM) for the second year.
Bits & Pretzels is a flagship international event in European tech entrepreneurship, held annually since 2014, bringing together startups, scaleups, future unicorns, investors, large corporations, and other innovation ecosystem stakeholders.
The latest edition brought together more than 7,500 attendees from over 50 countries, 1,000+ startups, 500 investors, and over 30,000 one-to-one meetings.
The event is structured around:

  • conferences, exhibition area, and B2B meetings.
  • advanced networking at Munich’s Oktoberfest through themed tables led by ecosystem experts (“table captains”).

Participating in the Spain Pavilion enables Spanish companies to:

  • Boost their international visibility.
  • Access investors, technology partners, and business opportunities.
  • Take part in matchmaking, pitching, networking, and exploratory missions.
  • Benefit from institutional support, outreach, and visibility under the Spain brand.

This activity may be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Requirements

Companies that meet and can accredit the following requirements may apply to join the Spanish delegation to Bits&Pretzels 202 6:

  • Participants must be Spanish companies or institutions legally incorporated in Spain and with their tax domicile in Spanish territory .
  • The main activity must be within the technology sector.
    • Startups certified by Enisa will be considered tech companies without the need to provide additional information (ICEX and Red.es will carry out the relevant checks via the Enisa database to verify that a company holds a valid certification).
    • For all other companies, each case will be assessed based on the information provided, and additional information may be requested if necessary.
  • In the case of companies, they must have authorized the Customs and Excise Department
    of the State Tax Administration Agency to send ICEX
    information on the foreign trade activity of the applicant company.

  • Have a website that must be active at the time the application is submitted and remain in that state for the duration of the obligations arising from this call.

For exhibiting startups, the following must also be met and accredited:

  • Tech companies founded in 2011 or later.
  • ≤ 300 employees.
  • Equity funding < €20M and/or Series A financing.
