Convocatoria Pabellón España 4 YEARS FROM NOW (4YFN) 2027
If you want to showcase your startup to investors and leading technology and innovation companies, the Spain Pavilion at 4YFN offers you numerous opportunities to close business deals and attract investment for your startup.
Red.es and ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, E.P.E. (hereinafter, ICEX) are organising a turnkey Spain Pavilion at 4YFN 2027.
The 4YFN event is specifically geared towards the entrepreneurial ecosystem and offers unique opportunities for connections between startups, investors, corporations and public institutions, fostering the creation of partnerships and new business opportunities. It therefore provides an especially suitable environment for technology companies at very early stages that are seeking funding.
Although 4YFN is an event open to all sectors of technological entrepreneurship, the 2027 edition will place a particular focus on the health tech, fintech, gaming, cybersecurity and climate tech verticals, which will have a prominent presence and visibility in the congress programme.
This edition will once again take place at the same venue as MWC Barcelona, significantly increasing the potential for connections.
In the previous edition, the event featured more than 1,000 exhibiting companies, 105,000 visitors across 4YFN and MWC, and the participation of 48 Spanish companies.
This year, the Pavilion will offer two participation options: Startup and Aggregator. Both include admission and all other services offered to the companies and institutions participating in the Spain Pavilion.
- Startup option
- Technology startups that have been established within the last eight years
- More than two and fewer than 100 full-time employees
- Places for startups are limited, with a maximum of 48 places available.
- Aggregator option
- Entities acting as business aggregators.
- They will receive visibility in the Pavilion’s graphics and exhibitor catalogue, a 30-minute slot in the Pavilion auditorium, access to the networking event and five tickets to the fair.
Requirements
Companies that meet and can demonstrate compliance with the following requirements may apply to participate in the Spanish delegation at 4YFN 2027:
- Participants must be companies or Spanish institutions legally incorporated in Spain and with their registered tax address in Spain.
- Their main activity must be carried out within the technology sector.
- Startups certified by ENISA will be considered technology companies without the need to provide additional information (ICEX and Red.es will carry out the relevant checks through the ENISA database to verify that the company holds a valid certification).
- In the case of all other companies, each application will be assessed on the basis of the information provided, and additional information may be requested if necessary.
- Applicants must have authorised the Department of Customs and Excise Duties of the Spanish State Tax Administration Agency to provide ICEX with information on the applicant company’s foreign trade activities.

- Applicants must have a website that is active when the application is submitted and remains active throughout the period during which the obligations arising from this call are in force.
- Applicants must have been established less than eight years ago (effective date from the date of incorporation) at the time the fair takes place.
- Applicants must have more than two and fewer than 100 full-time employees.
- The product or service proposed by the applicant company must contribute to the achievement of at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/objetivos -de-desarrollo -sostenible/.
- Applicants must not participate in the Spain Pavilion organised by Red.es at MWC Barcelona 2027.
- Applicants must not have a presence in any other institutional pavilion (of an autonomous community, city, etc.), company pavilion, accelerator pavilion or independently at 4YFN 2027.
- Applicants must not be companies providing services to startups.
- Applicants must not be technology services companies without their own product.
Applications from the following will not be accepted:
- Companies or institutions that have, or will have, a presence in another institutional pavilion (of an autonomous community, city, etc.), company pavilion, accelerator pavilion or independently at 4YFN 2027.
- Companies belonging to the same business group, in accordance with Article 42 of the Spanish Commercial Code.
- Companies providing services to startups (consultancies, accelerators, incubators, business schools, technology service providers, etc.) applying under the Startup option.
