Data Spaces Kit

The Program is an initiative of the Government of Spain to support the incorporation of public and private entities into sectoral data spaces, financing the costs associated with this process and promoting participation in the data economy.

The Data Spaces Kit is a financial aid program managed by Red.es and promoted by the State Secretariat for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, framed within the Spain Digital 2026 Plan and funded by Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Its main objective is to promote the effective incorporation of entities into sectoral data spaces, overcome entry barriers to these ecosystems, and strengthen the use and secure sharing of data, with the goal of expanding the use cases of shared data and reinforcing the digital fabric in strategic sectors.

The program covers costs related to contractual adhesion, technical and operational preparation, and, in its advanced modality, the publication of data products in eligible data spaces.

The Data Spaces Kit applies to various activity sectors, including agri-food, commerce, language economy, social and care economy, energy, fintech, training and employment, industry, digital marketing, environmental, environmental and diversity, media, sustainable mobility, health, smart cities, ICT and tourism.
 

Beneficiaries

Public or private entities with legal personality that carry out an economic activity and have tax residence in the European Union, as well as Spanish public administrations.

  • Having completed or being in the process of effective incorporation into an eligible data space.
  • Having legal personality and tax residence in the European Union (for private entities with economic activity).
  • Not exceeding the applicable European Union de minimis limits.
  • Being up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.
