Desafía México 2025
An initiative created by Red.es and ICEX that helps small Spanish companies enter the world’s most innovative tech ecosystems.
Desafía is an initiative created by Red.es and ICEX that helps small Spanish companies enter the world’s most innovative tech ecosystems.
Desafía provides guidance, support, and connections to key stakeholders through experts embedded in each ecosystem. It is also a community of entrepreneurs, mentors, and established companies.
Desafía Mexico promotes the entry of Spanish startups into the tech ecosystems of Mexico City and Monterrey, aiming to accelerate their transformation through exposure to major financial, technological, and industrial innovation hubs. The program facilitates their entry into the region and strengthens their connection with the United States.
The Desafía Mexico edition is aimed at Spanish tech startups with a positive social and/or environmental impact, ready to scale their business model internationally. It focuses strategically on market entry, growth, and funding in Mexico. The program is structured in the following phases:
- Bootcamp (October 28): Selected startups will participate in a workshop in Madrid, where they will receive detailed information about the program, meet the team that will guide them during the immersion, and take part in preparatory sessions to define strategic goals and market positioning in Mexico.
- Pre-immersion program (October 30 to November 12): A two-week virtual program including group workshops, mentoring sessions, and activities designed to strengthen their expansion and impact strategy.
- Immersion program in Mexico City and Monterrey (November 18 to 28): A two-week in-person experience focused on direct engagement with local ecosystems through strategic meetings, hands-on workshops, mentoring, networking, and a closing Demo Day.
Post-program and Desafía Alumni Network
After completing the immersion, selected startups will join the Desafía Alumni Network, which includes participants from all NV programs. The network offers mentoring, funding mapping, resources, growth opportunities, connections with other companies, and guidance on impact measurement and monitoring.
