Desafía Suiza 2025
Desafía is an initiative created by Red.es and ICEX that facilitates the entry of small Spanish companies into the most innovative technological ecosystems in the world.
Description
Desafía advises, accompanies, and connects with key agents through experts within each ecosystem. Desafía is also a community of entrepreneurs, mentors, and established companies.
The Desafía Switzerland 2025 edition focuses on deep-tech projects such as AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, energy, smart cities, fintech-insurtech, and other advanced technologies applied to sustainability.
Interested companies can participate in this immersion program, which will take place in May 2025 and is structured in three phases:
- Pre-immersion in Madrid: On April 24 and 25, selected companies will participate in an introductory workshop to learn about the program in detail and prepare for their experience in Switzerland.
- Immersion in Switzerland: From May 12 to 23, startups will attend workshops, networking sessions, and meetings with investors and experts in the cities of Zurich and Lausanne.
- Post-immersion and support: After the stay in Switzerland, companies will receive personalized mentoring and become part of the Desafía Community, where they can continue to strengthen their network.

Requirements
The general participation requirements are:
- Be a Spanish company - legally established and with a tax domicile in Spanish territory - with products/services exclusively of Spanish manufacture and/or brand.
- Be a deep-tech startup, either in the form of a product or service in the commercialization phase.
- The product or service offered by the applicant must contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Financial availability to travel and stay in Switzerland during the program."
