Call for proposals for the year 2025 for the awarding of grants for experimental development projects that promote the adoption of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector
Awarding of grants, on a competitive basis, for the implementation of experimental development projects that promote the adoption of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
This initiative is part of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (ENIA) and is one of the measures of the Spain Digital 2026 agenda.
The grants will be financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) from the Pluriregional Operational Programme of Spain for the 2021-2027 programming period, according to the available budget, within the specific objective RSO1.2. "To leverage the advantages offered by digitalization for citizens, companies, research organizations, and public administrations."
The projects will aim to experiment in an environment with real data on Artificial Intelligence-based solutions that address use cases in the different areas of the care process (prediction, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care, and follow-up), clinical, biomedical, and pharmacological research, health systems management, or the response to health emergency situations.
Requirements
Companies with a tax domicile located in Spanish territory, or those with a tax residence or a permanent establishment in Spanish territory, that can prove compliance with the requirements established in the regulatory bases and the Call, may be beneficiaries of these grants.
The grant must have an incentive effect on the activity it supports and must change the company's behaviour in such a way that it undertakes complementary activities that it would not have undertaken otherwise, or that, without the grant, it would have undertaken in a limited or different manner.
Applications must be submitted through the form provided for this purpose on the Red.es Electronic Headquarters, within the established deadline. All application documentation must be submitted in Spanish and must be digitally signed by a duly authorized representative of the applicant. If the applicant has joint representation, the signature must be made by all necessary representatives.
