
Spain Pavilion at SCEWC 2025
The Spain Pavilion at Smart City Expo World Congress is an initiative organized by ICEX and Red.es to facilitate the entry and visibility of Spanish technology companies in the ecosystem of technological solutions for smart cities.
Description
The Spain Pavilion at SCEWC 2025 will make its fourteenth appearance at the Fira Barcelona venue. After many years of experience, the Spain Pavilion seeks Spanish companies with enabling technologies such as AI, IoT, augmented reality, 5G, virtual reality, big data, etc., that offer innovative solutions to the many challenges cities face today, such as digital transformation, energy and environment, mobility, governance, inclusive society, building, and security.
This year, 2025, the pavilion will consist of 3 participation modalities to choose from:
- Stands
- Individual workstation
- Common area
Additionally, the Spain Pavilion will offer a content agenda that will include round tables and panels on relevant areas in the context of smart cities, where you can:
- Increase the visibility of your business.
- Have an individual promotion stand or a workstation for meetings.
- Access a presentation on smart cities in Japan and another on mobility challenges with European cities.
- Capture the attention of international delegations.
- Present your technological solutions directly to delegations from countries and cities in the Agora of the Spain Pavilion.
- Obtain six access accreditations to Smart City World Expo for the three days of the congress.
In the last edition, this congress brought together more than 20,400 visitors, including representatives from municipalities and institutions, research centers, and international companies from 140 countries.

Requirements
The general participation requirements are:
- Be a legally constituted Spanish company with a fiscal domicile in Spanish territory and with products/services exclusively of Spanish manufacture and/or brand.
- Be a company providing solutions for smart cities, either in the form of a product or service in the commercialization phase.
- The product or service offered by the applicant must contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Have authorized the Customs and Excise Department of the State Tax Administration
- Agency to send ICEX information about the foreign trade of the applicant company.
- Have the financial means to travel and stay in Barcelona during the program.
