Red.es and ICEX are organizing the Spain Pavilion 2025 at the Slush Helsinki event to foster connections between startups, venture capital firms, investors, and other stakeholders with the Finnish market in the digital economy sectors.
Red.es and ICEX are organizing a Spain Pavilion at the Slush Helsinki event to provide access to an exclusive opportunity for Spanish entrepreneurs, with a strict admission process.
Slush Helsinki is the leading tech conference in Northern Europe. Each year, it brings together around 5,000 startups, 3,000 investors, 200 researchers, and 2,500 professional visitors from the international entrepreneurship ecosystem.
At Slush, you’ll discover the latest trends in technological innovation through a comprehensive program of conferences, networking sessions, roundtables, and workshops led by successful entrepreneurs, top-tier investors, and technology influencers.
For the 2025 edition, the event is expected to host 6,000 entrepreneurs, 3,500 investors, and more than 300 media outlets.
This call offers a comprehensive 3-day program in Helsinki aimed at exploring the opportunities the Finnish market presents for the digital economy sectors. Special focus will be given to the verticals of AI, data, digital health, and cleantech. The goal is to showcase your value proposition, establish relevant business agreements, and connect with international investors or talent.
To participate in the call, applications must be submitted under one of the following categories:
- Startup: Early-stage technology company seeking rapid growth.
- Investor: Venture capital firm, corporate investor, business angel, etc.
- Ecosystem Agent: Any other stakeholder that is not a startup, investor, or business association.
- Cluster/Group Coordinator: Entities acting as business aggregators.
- Side Event Partner: Entities interested in actively participating in the preparation and content of the side event, and acting as its sponsors.
This initiative is aimed at startups, corporations, accelerators, incubators, innovation professionals, and Spanish investors looking to explore the Finnish ecosystem, connect with emerging global companies, and discover the latest technological and business trends as well as investment opportunities.
Requirements
- Participants must be legally established Spanish companies.
- Their main activity must be within the technology sector.
- They must have authorized the Department of Customs and Excise Duties of the Spanish Tax Agency to share information on the company’s foreign trade activity with ICEX. - They must have an active website at the time of application submission, and it must remain active throughout the duration of the obligations derived from this call.
- In the case of startups, the following additional requirements must be met and proven (these criteria will be validated by the organizers of the event):
- Be an early-stage technology company aiming for rapid growth.
- Startups certified by ENISA will be considered technology companies without needing to provide additional information (Red.es and ICEX will verify this certification using the ENISA database).
- For other companies, each case will be evaluated based on the submitted information, and additional documentation may be requested if needed.
- Must have been founded in 2018 or later.
- Must have a scalable business model.
- Be an early-stage technology company aiming for rapid growth.
