Business Plan
The Business Plan tool is an interactive document that will help you identify, describe, and analyze a business opportunity, examine its technical, economic, and financial viability, and develop all the necessary procedures and strategies to turn that opportunity into a concrete business project.
The Directorate General for Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises (DGIPYME) offers you the Business Plan tool, which will allow you to create your business project and play with different economic scenarios to assess aspects such as how much money you will need to launch your business, how many employees you will need, and at what price to sell your product or service, among other considerations.
The Business Plan will help you quickly gather key information around the following business elements:
- Basic company information. Company name, registered office, type of company, date of incorporation, start date of operations, industry sector, description of activity, share capital, current equity, and current employees.
- Basic project information. Brief explanation of the activity to be developed, self-financing, and external financing.
- Promoters. Full name, position, dedication, and professional background.
- Products/Services. Provide a word or phrase that identifies the product or service, description, and advantages.
- Production plan. Description of the production process, quality control and management systems, technology used, facilities and machinery, and suppliers.
- Market analysis. General sector aspects, potential customers, competition analysis, company weaknesses, threats, strengths, and opportunities.
- Marketing plan. Pricing strategy, sales policy, promotion and advertising, distribution scheme, after-sales service, and warranty.
- Organization and staff. Management team and company workforce.
- Investment plan. Tangible assets, intangible assets, financial investments, and other investments.
This plan will allow you to monitor any deviations occurring during the course of the project and can help you realign aspects related to sales, production, organization, or finance. Additionally, you can use it as a foundation for growth or diversification projects related to the main activity.
Once completed, you will be able to present your idea to individuals or financial entities that can help you bring it to life.
