What are PAEs?

Entrepreneur Service Points (PAEs) are specialized spaces that provide advice and support to entrepreneurs and business owners in all stages of business development. 

There are over 4,000 points distributed throughout the country.

There are two types of PAEs:  

• Public PAEs: entities belonging to or linked to the public sector, such as municipalities, development agencies, or chambers of commerce.
• Private PAEs: professional associations, professional colleges, and business associations that have signed a collaboration agreement with the General Directorate of Industry and SMEs (DGIPYME).

The PAE has a dual mission:

• Provide information and advice services to entrepreneurs in defining their business initiatives and during the first years of business activity.
• Initiate the administrative process of company formation through the Single Electronic Document (DUE). 

Services and resources available at PAEs

PAE centers have established collaborations and alliances with other institutions and organizations, such as universities, business incubators, financial entities, and government agencies. This has allowed them to expand their network of contacts and resources, providing more comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and business owners.

They offer a wide range of services and resources, including:

• Business creation: assistance in developing business plans, feasibility studies, company formation procedures through the DUE, selection of the most appropriate legal form, among others.
• Legal and operational aspects: provide information on characteristics, legal framework, tax advantages, accounting, procedures, and regulations for Limited Liability Companies (SRL), Civil Societies, Communities of Goods, Individual Entrepreneurs, and Limited Liability Entrepreneurs.
• Training and capacity building: provide training and capacity-building programs for entrepreneurs and business owners, aiming to improve their skills and knowledge in areas such as business management, marketing, finance, human resources, among others.
• Internationalization: provide information and advice on business internationalization, such as searching for business opportunities abroad, customs procedures, trade agreements, among others.
• Innovation and technology: promote innovation and the use of technology in businesses, offering advice on digital tools, innovation support programs, intellectual property protection, among others.
• Simplified administrative procedures and management: provide information on the necessary steps for starting and launching a business, such as obtaining licenses, registration in records, and contract drafting. Additionally, they offer information on the applicable Social Security regime, affiliation criteria, contribution, etc.
• Information on available financing and grants: entrepreneurs can obtain information on different financing options and economic aids (such as loans, credit lines, investors, crowdfunding, among others), as well as advice on accessing them.
• Access to networks and networking opportunities: facilitate contact with professionals in the sector, entrepreneurs, and investors through events, fairs, and networking activities organized by PAE centers.

You can find information about PAE centers and their locations in Spain through different sources, such as the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism of Spain, local chambers of commerce, municipalities, and entrepreneurship networks in your area. These institutions usually have updated information on PAE centers and maps showing their locations.
